Defending Super Rugby Pacific champions the Hurricanes have signed All Blacks loose forward Semisi Ta’eiloa on a two-year deal.

The 22-year-old played for Moana Pasifika last season, where his impressive form earned him a call-up to the All Blacks for their tour of South Africa, in which he made his debut.

The No 8 said he was grateful for the opportunity to play for the Hurricanes.

“It’s exciting to be part of such a proud region, and I can’t wait to get started. Malo,” Ta’eiloa said.

Coach Clark Laidlaw was pleased to have the deal done and excited to see what his new signing could achieve over the next two seasons.

“It’s great that Semisi is joining us on a two-year deal. He’s got a lot of potential, having already played for a couple of years in Super Rugby Pacific.
