Sun Pharma Q1 net rises 27% to ₹2,895 crore
Sun Pharmaceuticals reported a 27% increase in net profit to ₹2,895 crore for the first quarter of fiscal year 2026-27. Growth was driven by strong performance in the Indian market and the global innovative medicines segment.

Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd. for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026 reported a 27% year-n-year growth in consolidated net profit to ₹2,895 crore.
Sales income at ₹15,184 crore grew 10.1%. Global Innovative Medicines sales at $351 million grew 12.8% accounting for 21.9% of sales.
Kirti Ganorkar, Managing Director, Sun Pharma said, “Our performance during the quarter was driven by strong momentum in India as well as Innovative Medicines, which delivered robust growth across the U.S. and international regions.”
“Recent semaglutide approvals in India, Brazil and South Africa underscore our capabilities in developing complex peptide products for patients globally. Organon shareholders have approved the proposed acquisition by Sun, which is on track to close in early 2027,” he added.
Formulation sales in India were ₹5,475 crore, registering a growth of 16%. India Formulation sales accounted for 36.1% of total consolidated sales, the company said.
