Sun King targets homes, businesses with solar expansion

A mid persistent power outages affecting homes and businesses in Nigeria, solar energy company Sun King has expanded its solar inverter range to 30 kilowatts and launched a solar-powered freezer. The company disclosed this recently at an unveiling ceremony attended by customers, partners and government representatives to discuss the future of solar power for Nigerian homes and businesses. Sun King said the expansion was aimed at providing alternative power options for customers dealing with unreliable electricity supply, with its PowerHub solar inverter range now covering systems from 2.2kW to 30kW. The company said the range includes its existing 2.2kW and 3.3kW systems, while the new additions comprise 5kW, 10kW, 15kW and 30kW systems. The company’s Country Business Leader in Nigeria, Lisbon Ogunsammi, said customers could add battery storage and solar panels as their power requirements increase without replacing the systems they already owned.
