The rainfall is critical for mitigating water shortages in the region and improving local environmental conditions.
The city of Visakhapatnam witnessed a sudden spell of evening rain on Monday, catching evening commuters and motorists off guard, and bringing much-needed relief from the water scarcity affecting parts of the region.
