Sub-centre of Ramakrishna Math to be inaugurated in Puducherry on October 10

A new sub-centre of the Sri Ramakrishna Math is set to open in Puducherry on October 10, featuring a temple and a Service Activities Building. The facility will provide free medical services, education, and vocational training to the community.

A sub-centre of Sri Ramakrishna Math, Chennai will be inaugurated at Karuvadikuppam in Puducherry on October 10.
Monk in-charge of the Math, Swami Nityeshananda, said at a press conference on Friday, that the centre constructed on an area of 18,609 square feet will house the Sri Ramakrishna temple, Annai Sarada Illam and a Service Activities Building (SAB).
The SAB will have a dispensary to provide free medical consultation, laboratory facility, dressing and wound-care services, Siddha medicine, ophthalmology centre, dental care and physiotherapy units offering services on charity basis.
The third floor of the centre would house the Swami Vivekananda Centre for Values and Human Excellence, facilities for computer training, value-education classes and library, the Swami said.
The inauguration programme would commence on October 9 with pujas. Lieutenant Governor K. Kailashnathan would participate in the Poornahuti ceremony.
