Students visit Devipattinam coastal police station ahead of police commemoration day
Students from a local school visited the Devipattinam Coastal Police Station to learn about maritime security operations. The outreach program aimed to educate youth on police functions and safety equipment ahead of Police Commemoration Day.

Over a hundred students of Sri Vivekananda Matriculation Higher Secondary School visited the Devipattinam Coastal Police Station as part of an outreach initiative ahead of Police Commemoration Day.
The visit was organised under the orders of Coastal Security Group Superintendent of Police Rohit Nathan Rajagopal and the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Balakrishnan. It was led by Rameswaram Coastal Security Group Inspector V. Jhansirani.
During the visit, Ms. Jhansirani briefed the students on the functions and operations of the Coastal Security Group and demonstrated the safety gear and specialised equipment used during maritime police duties.
The interactive session also focused on creating security awareness among the students.
