Students should become employers, not just employees, says CM Shivakumar
Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar encouraged students to pursue entrepreneurship rather than just seeking employment during a Study Abroad Expo. The government is facilitating international education opportunities through scholarships and bank loans to help students compete globally.

Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar emphasised that students should not just become employees, but also become employers. “Our state has a good talent pool compared to any other State in the country and we want students to make the most of this expo to reach at a global level,” he said, speaking at the second edition of Study Abroad Expo organised by the Government of Karnataka in the city on Sunday.
“Leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, B.R. Ambedkar, and Raja Ram Mohan Roy have studied abroad and led our country. The Karnataka government has provided this opportunity for students to choose and study in various foreign universities,” he said.
