Students find colleges ‘missing’ when they go for enrolment in professional courses
Students in Karnataka are reporting that several professional colleges allotted during the CET counselling process do not exist at the provided addresses or have been closed for years. Parents and students have petitioned the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) after discovering discrepancies between their seat confirmation slips and the actual physical locations of the institutions.

Some colleges where seats were allotted for professional courses like Engineering, Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT), B.Sc Nursing and others in the 2nd round of CET counselling have been found to be “missing” by students.
When students paid the fee to the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), downloaded the seat confirmation slip, and went to the colleges to enrol, they found that there was no college at the given address.
“I got a seat at Hosmat College of Physiotherapy, Hosmat Hospital Educational Institution, Margath Road, and when I went to the college for admission, I was surprised. The address on the confirmation slip was Hosmat Hospital, but there was no Hosmat College of Physiotherapy. When I inquired about this, the staff said that the BPT college had been closed for two years. I was deeply disappointed,” said Sneha (name changed), a seat aspirant from Bengaluru.
