Students from different schools in Mandya demonstrated their scientific temper and mathematical talent at The Hindu In School Science Fest (Avishkar) and Maths Olympiad 2026 (Ramanujam Spark Quest) held on Wednesday.

While a total of 18 teams comprising two students each from classes 8 to 10 participated in the Science Fest 2026 and displayed their projects and innovations in science, another 135 students, also from classes 8 to 10, participated enthusiastically in the Maths Olympiad.

The programme was inaugurated by Mandya Circle Inspector Naveen Supekar at Gowri Shankara Kalyana Mantapa in Marigowda Layout in Mandya.

Chief Executive Officer of Mandya Zilla Panchayat Nandini K.R. was the chief guest for the valedictory programme. Principal of PES College of Engineering Vinay S. was also present.
