Police made a shocking discovery at a local cemetery after the body of a four-year-old boy with serious head injuries was found wrapped in blankets and curtains on Monday, 10 August 2026.
According to Lt-Col Thabo Covane, police in Herzogville, Free State attended a crime scene at the Old Cemetery in Malebogo.
Covane said Local Criminal Record Centre experts based in Welkom were called to process the scene.
He said a murder case was opened at Herzogville and a preliminary investigation started.
