Stay updated on cybercrime, Anitha tells new AP constables

Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha has asked newly trained police constables to keep themselves updated on emerging methods of crime detection, particularly cybercrime.

She was speaking at the passing-out parade of 149 stipendiary cadet trainee police constables (APSP 2025-26 batch) at the APSP 6th Battalion in Mangalagiri on Tuesday.

Ms. Anitha urged the constables to be honest and sincere in discharging their duties and to focus on tackling cybercrime. She asked them to remember the sacrifices made by their parents and perform their duties with discipline.

Describing constables as the backbone of the Police Department, she asked them to respond effectively to emergencies and disasters and uphold the reputation of the department.
