Status Orange rain warning for three counties overnight

The warning, for Donegal, Galway and Mayo, comes into effect at 1am and will last until 7am.
Very heavy and persistent rain with thunderstorms and lightning damage are possible.
Flooding, disruption and delays to public transport as well as very difficult travelling conditions are also possible.
A Status Yellow rain warning will come into effect for Clare, Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo from 9pm tonight and will last until 9am tomorrow morning.
