A bronze statue project to recognise the nine-year tenure of Daniel Andrews as Victorian premier has been cancelled by his successor Ben Carroll.
Former Liberal premier Jeff Kennett started the tradition in 1999, and told the ABC a statue dedicated to late country music star Dolly Parton should be installed at Melbourne's Myer Music Bowl instead.
Victorians head to the polls in a state election scheduled for November 28.
