Statue of martyr Murali Naik unveiled at Puttaparthi
A statue of martyr Murali Naik was unveiled in Puttaparthi to honor his sacrifice while serving in the 851 Light Regiment. Naik lost his life in May 2025 during a confrontation with Pakistani forces along the Line of Control.
A statue of martyr Murali Naik, a native of Kalli Thanda in Gorantla mandal of Sri Sathya Sai district, was unveiled at Shilparamam in Puttaprthi on Monday in recognition of his sacrifice for the nation. District Collector A. Shyam Prasad and Superintendent of Police (SP) S. Satish Kumar jointly unveiled the statue and paid floral tributes to the martyr.
