Statewide special enrolment drive for electoral roll revision in Keralam from October 15

The Kerala government has announced a special electoral roll revision drive from October 15 to October 31 to facilitate new voter registrations. The initiative includes digital help desks, online application options, and a 'Campus to Booth' program to encourage young voters.
Why it matters
This drive is critical for ensuring democratic participation and maintaining accurate voter records ahead of future electoral cycles.
A State-wide special enrolment drive will be conducted from October 15 to October 31 in Keralam for the revision of electoral roll and the inclusion of new voters, Chief Electoral Officer D. Sajith Babu said on Thursday.
Instructions regarding this have been issued to District Collectors.
From October 15 to October 31, form distribution will be arranged and digital help desks set up at village offices. Applicants only need to submit Form 6 to add their names to the voters’ list.
Applications can also be submitted online through the Citizen Service Portal or the Voter Helpline App.
Along with the application, any one of the approved documents establishing the identity with photograph, age and address must be submitted. Those submitting Aadhaar as proof must provide an additional supporting document.
Booth-level officers (BLOs) will subsequently visit houses within the limits of their respective polling stations for further verification.
