Sony has officially announced the next State of Play showcase will take place this week, on 3rd September 2026.
The livestream will have "updates and announcements from PlayStation Studios and our third-party partners", and it will conclude with an "extended look" at Final Fantasy 7 Revelation .
Immediately after the show, Sony will air another State of Play Japan event. "State of Play Japan will offer deep dives into upcoming games from game studios in Japan and Asia, including new gameplay, announcements, and more," the PlayStation Blog post reveals.
