State government’s top priority is overall development of KK Region: Ajay Singh
Minister for Minor Irrigation and Science and Technology Ajay Singh affirmed that the Karnataka government has prioritised the overall development of the Kalyan Karnataka region, focusing on basic infrastructure, education, and the strengthening of the healthcare sector.
Addressing the public after hoisting the national flag in Raichur to mark Kalyan Karnataka Utsav Day, Dr. Singh, who is also the district in-charge Minister of Raichur, highlighted significant budgetary allocations for key sectors across the region.

Outlining major development initiatives, the Minister noted that under the Akshara Avishkara scheme, ₹2,202.81 crore has been earmarked to transform educational infrastructure. Additionally, 34 new residential schools are set to be established.
He also said that infrastructure development has received an allocation of ₹2,170.46 crore, alongside ₹1,000 crore dedicated to rural road construction under the ‘Kalyan Path’ program. Praja Soudha buildings would also be constructed in newly formed taluks.
