In a statement seen by Kenyans.co.ke on August 17, the media house announced it now holds exclusive radio broadcast rights for the 2026/2027 EPL season across Kenya, a deal that locks out every other local station.
“ The Standard Group PLC hereby formally announces that we hold the exclusive radio broadcast rights for the 2026/2027 English Premier League (EPL) season within the territory of Kenya,” Standard Media stated.
According to the company, this exclusive license grants it sole authority to transmit live EPL action on radio, meaning no competitor can legally air the matches.
