The Calgary Stampeders will be without quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. as the team takes on the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Saturday. Adams Jr. was placed on Calgary’s reserve roster on Friday, leaving Josh Love set to make his first career start this week. Adams Jr. was injured in the Stampeders’ 30-26 loss to the BC Lions on Aug. 13. Adams hit his head against the turf after being tackled on a six-yard rush and was escorted off the field by Calgary’s training staff.
