Stakeholders suggest considering II PU score for NEET ranking, multiple exam system

Students and experts from various fields suggested several steps to improve the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET), including considering II PU scores weightage for ranking, capping on multiple attempts, use of AI and other technology for preparing question papers, and conducting the exam twice a year.
The opinions were shared by the participants in the consultation on NEET-UG reforms organised by the Centre for Educational and Social Studies (CESS) on Thursday at the Institute of Social and Economic Change (ISEC) in Bengaluru.
CESS will consolidate the suggestions and submit it as recommendations to the high-powered task force looking into National Testing Agency (NTA) reforms, headed by Nandan Nilekani. September 13 is the last date for submission of suggestions.
