Officers are probing two linked incidents after a woman was stabbed and a man died in a head‑on crash minutes later in Tasmania. Tasmania Police say a serious stabbing and a fatal head-on crash in the state’s north are linked after two women were seriously injured and a man died at the scene. Emergency services were called to a home in Exeter about 4.30pm on Friday after reports a woman had suffered “serious stab wounds”. Police say “initial investigations indicate the injuries were inflicted by a man known to the woman.” She was taken to hospital and is in a critical condition.
