St. Francis College for Women, Hyderabad inaugurated a three-day International Multidisciplinary Conference on ‘Emerging Technologies, Humanities and Sciences: Pathways to Global Sustainability’ on Wednesday, September 9 bringing together academicians, researchers, industry experts and students to discuss sustainable solutions to contemporary global challenges.
The inaugural session was attended by V. Balakista Reddy, Chairman of the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE), as the chief guest, and J. Vatsala Rani, Senior Scientist at the CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT) as the guest of honour.
College Principal T. Uma Joseph stressed the importance of interdisciplinary approaches in adopting emerging technologies while preserving traditions and cultural diversity. She said no single field of knowledge was sufficient to address the complex challenges of life and society.
