SRM School of law welcomes 350 new students

SRM School of Law welcomed 350 new students for the 2026-27 academic year during an inauguration ceremony. The event featured addresses from legal experts on the importance of ethics, discipline, and human rights in the legal profession.

SRM School of Law, part of SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), welcomed about 350 students who enrolled in its various LLB and LLM programmes for the 2026-27 academic year.
Justice V. Ramasubramanian, Chairperson, National Human Rights Commission, urged the students to make use of every learning opportunity and recognise that legal education extends beyond the classroom into every aspect of life and society. He also inaugurated the Centre for Human Rights Studies and the Centre for International Humanitarian Law and Refugee Law at the SRM School of Law.
A.R.L. Sundaresan, Additional Solicitor General of India, emphasised the importance of discipline, integrity, professionalism, and careers built on ethical values.
