Srisailam Temple Trust Board chairman Pothugunta Ramesh Naidu has said that they have decided to take up a massive tree plantation drive within the temple premises as part of environmental conservation efforts. A target has been set to plant at least 5,000 saplings before the end of the current monsoon season.
Mr. Ramesh Naidu, along with temple executive officer M. Srinivasa Rao, several board members, and special invitees, participated in the plantation drive near the local Zilla Parishad High School. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ramesh Naidu said that a large-scale plantation drive had been initiated within the temple area.
