Sprinter M.R. Poovamma welcomed at Mangaluru International Airport

Mangaluru International Airport welcomed Aichi-Nagoya quarter-miler and gold medallist M.R. Poovamma with fanfare when she arrived in Mangaluru on Friday.
Ms. Poovamma has won four gold medals in her pet event, the 4x400 m relay, at four different Asian Games.
With her family by her side, Ms. Poovamma thanked her parents, brother and coach for her success, and acknowledged the love and affection shown by the city’s sporting fraternity, which turned up in large numbers to welcome her.
