Sports City, IT park, CCTV camera network among projects for Kalyana Karnataka: CM
Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar announced a series of infrastructure and economic development projects for the Kalyana Karnataka region. Initiatives include an IT park, an AI-based CCTV network, and missions focused on the economy and bio-processing.

Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar announced several initiatives focusing on investment, employment, healthcare, urban infrastructure, tourism, and sports for the Kalyana Karnataka region, as he participated in the 79th Kalyana Karnataka Utsav in Kalaburagi on September 17.
Kalyana Karnataka Liberation Day is observed on September 17 every year to commemorate the end of the Nizam’s rule, and the region’s integration with the Indian Union in 1948.
Mr. Shivakumar first paid a floral tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at Timmapur Circle, hoisted the national flag at the Police Parade Ground before addressing the gathering.
The Chief Minister announced the establishment of the Kalyana Karnataka Economy Mission (KKEM) as a Section 8 company to attract investment and accelerate industrial development in the region. A Bio Economy Mission will be established to promote processing and value addition of agricultural produce, with focus on tur dal, Kamalapur banana, raisins, and millets.
