SPMVV opens space observatory to boost student interest in astronomy
Sri Padmavati Mahila Viswa Vidyalayam (SPMVV) has inaugurated a new space observatory on its campus. The facility features telescopes and binoculars to encourage hands-on learning and student interest in astronomy.

Sri Padmavati Mahila Viswa Vidyalayam (SPMVV) opened a space observatory in the name of Goddess Padmavati at its campus on Thursday.
JNTU Kakinada Vice-Chancellor C.S.R.K. Prasad formally inaugurated the facility in the presence of his SPMVV counterpart Uma Vennam, university deans, the director of School of Engineering and Technology (SOET) and heads of engineering departments.
A range of space-viewing instruments, including telescopes, binoculars and related mounts were displayed on the occasion. The instruments will be made available to the students for hands-on observation, learning and project work.
