Splice and Spitfire Audio Launch Four New Originals Libraries
Splice and Spitfire Audio have launched four new 'Originals' virtual instrument libraries, including cello, brass, and woodwind sets. These instruments are available through a subscription-based plug-in or as individual perpetual purchases.
Why it matters
This release expands the accessibility of high-quality, studio-recorded orchestral sounds for independent music producers and composers.
Splice has announced Spitfire Audio’s release of four new Originals libraries – Emotional Cello, Intimate Brass, Intimate Woodwinds and Crystal Keys – alongside the full-fidelity upgrade of 17 existing Originals titles.
Splice INSTRUMENT is a playable plug-in featuring thousands of world-class instruments from Splice and Spitfire Audio. More than 20 libraries are immediately playable for Splice INSTRUMENT subscribers at US$12.99 per month and are also available as perpetual purchases for £29, US$29 or €29 each from spitfireaudio.com.
Recorded at AIR Studios’ Lyndhurst Hall and Spitfire Studios, and performed by hand-picked players, the four new titles extend the popular Originals range into territory it has not explored before – from delicate, breath-textured brass and woodwinds to a virtuosic solo cello and an otherworldly instrument built from chromatically tuned glass rods.
