'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' to become first $1bn US box office film
'Spider-Man: Brand New Day', starring Tom Holland in the lead, is on the verge of rewriting the domestic (American) box-office record.As per the latest reports on Global box office, the film is now just around USD 10 million away from overtaking 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' as the highest-grossing film of all time in North America. The Tom Holland-led superhero film has already amassed around USD 923 million domestically, putting it within striking distance of 'The Force Awakens’ which has a current total collection of USD 936.7 million.According to the latest projections, 'Brand New Day' may just go on to become the biggest movie ever released in the US and Canada, as per Variety Australia.
