Southern Railway will be operating three special trains to clear extra rush of passengers during kumbhabhishekam of Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple.

Train No. 06153 Dr MGR Chennai Central – Madurai Express Special will leave Dr. MGR Chennai Central at 4.10 p.m. on September 16 (Wednesday) and reach Madurai at 4.30 a.m., the next day, a statement said.

In return direction, Train No. 06154 Madurai – Dr MGR Chennai Central Express Special will leave Madurai at 3.30 p.m. on September 17 (Thursday) and reach Dr MGR Chennai Central at 3.30 a.m., the next day. The trains would have two AC 2-tier coaches, five AC 3-tier coaches, 11- sleeper class coaches, four general second class coaches and two second class coaches for differently abled.

The trains would stop at Perambur, Tiruvallur, Arakkonam junction, Katpadi, Jolarpettai junction, Salem, Namakkal, Karur and Dindigul, the statement said.
