Special drive detects 1,038 violations at zebra crossings in Keralam
The Kerala Police conducted a special traffic enforcement drive called 'Whiteline-Lifeline' to improve pedestrian safety at zebra crossings. The initiative resulted in over 1,000 violations being detected and fines totaling over ₹2.5 lakh.

A special drive called ‘Whiteline-Lifeline’ conducted by the Traffic and Road Safety Management Unit of the Keralam Police across the State, as part of increasing the safety of pedestrians at zebra crossings and ensuring discipline among drivers, detected 1,038 violations at zebra crossings. As many as 55,207 vehicles were subjected to inspection as part of the drive.
Out of these, 1,038 vehicles were found to have committed violations at zebra crossings and a fine of ₹2,50,631 was imposed. The special drive was conducted from August 20 to 25. During this period, the special drive focussed on increasing the safety of pedestrians and compliance with traffic rules across the State.
