Special camps for voter enrolment in SIR to be held in Dharmapuri

Dharmapuri district administration is organizing special camps to enroll eligible voters who were previously omitted from electoral rolls. The initiative focuses on first-time voters and those left out, following guidelines from the Election Commission of India.

Special camps for enrolling eligible persons whose names have been omitted from the electoral rolls is proposed to be held in Dharmapuri. According to the district administration, under the Continuous Upgradation of Electoral Roll, the District Election Officer and Electoral Registration Officers have been instructed to conduct special camps for enrolling eligible persons whose names were omitted and those of the young/first-time eligible voters.
Further, the declaration form attached to Form – 6 is applicable only during the period of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). Instead, applicable forms prescribed under the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960 shall be used.
