A special mega camp for persons with disabilities will be held at Mani Mahal, near Manis Theatre at Masakalipalayam in Coimbatore city, on September 3 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The camp, organised by the district administration in coordination with the Department for the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons and other government departments, will provide services related to UDID cards, medical certificates, disability assessment and identification of beneficiaries for free surgeries.

Applications will also be received for educational and maintenance assistance, bank loans, assistive devices, artificial limbs, bus passes and registration with the Welfare Board for the Differently Abled. Aadhaar enrolment and corrections, and changes to names and addresses in family cards, will also be facilitated.
