A special camp for persons with disabilities from Coimbatore North taluk will be held at Fathima Gani Kalyana Mandapam, Podanur, on September 1, the district administration has said.

The camp, organised by the Department for the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons along with various other departments, will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Medical assessment for Unique Disability ID (UDID) cards, registration and renewal of cards, and selection of beneficiaries for free surgeries will be undertaken at the camp.

Applications will also be received for welfare schemes, including educational and maintenance assistance, bank loans, assistive devices, artificial limbs and bus passes. Aadhaar enrolment and corrections, and changes in names and addresses in family cards, will also be undertaken.
