Special camp for persons with disabilities in Coimbatore on October 1
The Coimbatore district administration is hosting a special camp on October 1 to assist persons with disabilities. The event will provide medical assessments for UDID cards, disability certificates, and facilitate applications for various government welfare schemes and assistive devices.

A special camp for persons with disabilities will be held at Venkata Lakshmi Marriage Hall in Chellandiamman Nagar, Singanallur, on October 1.
The camp, organised by the district administration and the Department for the Welfare of Persons with Disabilities in association with various government departments, will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the East Zone of the Coimbatore Corporation.
The camp will facilitate medical assessment for persons seeking Unique Disability ID (UDID) cards and issuance of disability certificates. Those requiring surgery will be identified based on medical assessment. Facilities for new UDID registration and renewal will also be available.
Applicants seeking fresh registration should bring their Aadhaar and family cards, four passport-size photographs and earlier medical records, if available, along with the original documents and copies.
