Spain’s U-20 women’s team produced one of the biggest wins in FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup history after thrashing New Caledonia 11-0 in their Group F clash on Thursday.

The emphatic victory, which came in Poland, saw Spain score five times before half-time before adding six more after the break to register a record-breaking margin.

Patricia Comendador opened the scoring in the 10th minute before Marisa doubled Spain’s advantage seven minutes later.

Clara Segura made it 3-0 in the 33rd minute, while Alba Cerrato added a fourth two minutes before half-time.

Marisa completed her brace in first-half stoppage time as Spain went into the interval 5-0 ahead.

There was no let-up after the restart as Segura struck again just a minute into the second half to make it 6-0.

Comendador added her second in the 49th minute before Segura completed her hat-trick four minutes later.
