Southern Railway announces Onam special trains

Southern Railway has introduced several special train services to and from Kerala to accommodate increased passenger traffic during the Onam festival season. The schedule includes multiple weekly and bi-weekly express specials connecting major cities like Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram, and Mangaluru.

The Southern Railway has announced a slew of special trains to and from Kerala for the convenience of passengers travelling during Onam festival season.
According to a list released by the Southern Railways, Train No. 06119 Chennai – Kollam Weekly Express Special will leave MGR Chennai Central at 3.10 p.m. on Wednesdays (August 12, 19, 26 and September 2 (Four Services)) and reach Kollam Junction at 7.20 a.m. the next day. In the return direction, the train will leave Kollam Junction at 10.40 a.m. on Thursdays, (August 13, 20, 27 and September 3 (Four Services)) and reach MGR Chennai Central at 3.30 a.m. the next day.
