South Dakota family donates 20.5 acres to expand park drawing 200,000 visitors
Jeff and Tammie Broin have donated 20.5 acres of land to the City of Sioux Falls to expand the Great Bear Recreation Park. The land will be preserved as a natural conservation area, supporting the city's long-term master plan for outdoor recreation.

Jeff and Tammie Broin donated 20.5 acres of land they acquired about two years ago to the City of Sioux Falls, expanding the southern edge of Great Bear Recreation Park.Jeff Broin, founder and CEO of POET, and his wife announced the donation this week. The land will become part of Great Bear, a park covering more than 220 acres that has been a recreation and conservation destination for about 60 years and attracts more than 200,000 visitors annually.The donated land will initially remain largely undeveloped.
