South Bengaluru horror: Man strangles pregnant wife with dog's leash, dies by suicide

BENGALURU: A 30-year-old man allegedly strangled his pregnant wife to death with a dog's leash before dying by suicide at their rented house in Banashankari Park in Channamanakere Achhukattu in south Bengaluru on Thursday.The incident came to light on Thursday afternoon after the house owner, Shekhar, alerted the Channamanakere Achhukattu police. He told police that he had heard his tenants, Manoj Kumar and his wife Swapna, arguing loudly, followed by screams and shouts. When there was no response from the couple and the house remained locked from inside, he contacted the police.After breaking open the door of the first-floor house, police found Swapna's body in the bedroom and Kumar hanging from a ceiling fan.
