Sony added AI upscaling to Marvel's Wolverine and Ghost of Yōtei on PlayStation 5 - some players called QSSR a "good example" of AI use

Sony has introduced Quick Spectral Super Resolution (QSSR) for the standard PlayStation 5, an AI-based upscaling technology developed with AMD. The feature will debut in Marvel's Wolverine and Ghost of Yōtei to improve image quality.

On PlayStation 5 Pro, users have access to the PSSR upscaler. However, as Sony noted in a recent blog, developers asked the company if it was possible to use similar technology on the base version of the console.
