Egypt, July 19 2026 – Somalia's Foreign Minister Abdisalam Abdi Ali met in Cairo on Sunday with Massad Boulos, Senior Adviser to U.S. President Donald Trump on Arab and African Affairs, to discuss bilateral relations, security cooperation and developments in the Horn of Africa, the Foreign Ministry said. According to the ministry, the two sides discussed strengthening relations between Somalia and the United States, reaffirmed support for Somalia's sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity, and reviewed ways to deepen cooperation on counterterrorism and security.
