Soldiers and Military Equipment Will Appear in Riga

Military personnel from Latvia and allied states, Zemessardze, and military equipment will be moving around the city. Training checkpoints and anti-vehicle barriers will be set up in certain locations. Flights of drones and military aviation are planned. There may be temporary restrictions on the movement of vehicles and pedestrians.

The municipality emphasizes that all noticeable military activities in the city are pre-planned elements of exercises and are not related to any real threat.

The most intensive activities are expected in the areas of Petersala-Andrej sala, Brasa, Chiekurkalns, Teika, Mezciems, Tornakalns, Ziepniekkalns, Bolderaja, Daugavgriva, and Salas.
