Solar car parking at Secretariat by December: Komatireddy
The Telangana government is constructing a solar-powered car parking facility at the Secretariat, expected to be completed by December. The project aims to generate 90,000 units of electricity monthly, significantly reducing the building's energy costs.

The proposed shaded solar car parking facility at the Telangana Secretariat is likely to be completed by December this year, according to Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy.
The Minister, who reviewed the progress of road constructions and other projects at the Secretariat on Saturday, said the solar parking structures on the northern, western and southern sides did not affect the elevation of the Secretariat building and were limited to the building’s structural level.
As per the design discussed earlier in the presence of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, solar-panel-equipped parking facilities would be provided in two rows on the northern side, three rows on the southern side and one row on the western side. Officials presented the designs to the Minister during the review.
