Minister for Social Justice Vanni Arasu on Saturday inspected the various development works and basic facilities being provided for the Kaani tribal people at Karaiyar Chinna Mayilar and the government residential school located in Papanasam Upper Dam area.

He inspected the iron footbridge being constructed across the river to fulfil the long pending demand of the Kaani tribal settlement in Karaiyar Chinna Mayilar . He also met the tribal people at the Chinna Mayilar community welfare centre and enquired about their various demands and basic needs. The long standing demand of the tribal people which was the construction of a 2.5 km road from Chinna Mayilar land settlement to the forest guard check post near Sorimuthu Aiyyanar temple was also reviewed during the inspection.
