PETALING JAYA: Parti Bangsa Malaysia president Larry Sng predicts that the Barisan Nasional-Perikatan Nasional alliance would be able to attain a simple majority in the next general election (GE16) if their pact continues in the nationwide polls.
Sng said this meant that ruling state coalitions Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) would no longer be kingmakers, particularly in the event of a hung Parliament.
The former Sarawak PKR chief also said that based on the current trajectory, the BN-PN pact could make a clean sweep of all state elections in West Malaysia, except for Penang.
