Smoke detected from electronic device, Delhi-Chennai IndiGo flight diverted to Hyderabad

A Chennai-bound IndiGo flight from Delhi was diverted to Hyderabad on Sunday, October 11, after smoke was detected inside the aircraft from a passenger’s personal electronic device.
According to FlightRadar24, IndiGo flight 6E 6115 departed from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport at 1.30 p.m and was scheduled to land at Chennai International Airport at 4 pm. Following the incident, the flight was diverted and landed at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) at about 3.15 p.m.
