Skill development centres in schools helping students: Minister
Minister for General Education N. Samsudheen stated that skill development centers in schools are making learning more practical and student-centric, emphasizing their importance alongside academics. He spoke at a State-level certificate distribution event for 8,211 students who completed courses at 210 such centers across Kerala.

He was speaking after performing the State-level inauguration of certificate distribution to those who had passed the skill development centre courses at Government Higher Secondary School, Kamaleswaram, here on Tuesday.
Mr. Samsudheen said the skill development centres are important along with academics. Schools should have means to identity talents of students and promote them. Students were able to learn skills in various sectors in the skill development centres, he said.
Steps were on to implement more programmes in schools through the Samagra Shiksha Keralam, the Minister said.
