The Sathya Sai district police on Friday (July 24, 2026) detained six youths on charges of ‘six-up riding’ a two-wheeler under the Hindupur Rural police station limits.
According to the police, the local youths, all in their 20s, attempted to flee after noticing a checkpoint. Hindupur Rural Circle Inspector Janardhan and Chilamathur Sub-Inspector Sridhar pursued and detained them. Instead of initiating legal action, the police counselled the youngsters on the risks of reckless riding and the importance of following traffic rules.
