Six teachers have been charged before the City Hall Court with unauthorised possession of examination papers, materials or information allegedly relating to the Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE).
The accused appeared before Senior Principal Magistrate Nicholas Aisu and were charged under Section 25(1) of the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) Act, 2021.
The charge sheet alleges that the six, together with others still at large, were found in Kisaasi, Nakawa Division, Kampala, and other places in Uganda, during September and October 2026, in possession or control of examination papers, materials or information purporting to relate to the content of the PLE examinations.
The subjects listed in the charge sheet are Mathematics, Social Studies, Integrated Science and English, which the prosecution says are examinations under the monopoly of UNEB.
