Six sector-specific industrial parks proposed under BHAVYA

The Industries & Commerce Department has initiated steps for developing six sector-specific Industrial Parks (IPs) under the Government of India’s (GoI) Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojana (BHAVYA).
The State-level process, including the preparation of detailed project reports (DPRs), master plans and market demand assessments, has been completed and the proposals submitted to the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) for further action, according to official sources.
The six IPs are the A.P. Space City, spread over 1,000 acres in Tirupati district; A.P. Drone City at Kurnool (486 acres); Tekulodu Aerospace and Defence Park in Sri Sathya Sai district (500 acres); Makavaripalem Organic Food Park in Anakapalli district (500 acres); Renewable Energy Manufacturing Zone (REMZ) in Prakasam district (498 acres); and Veldurthi Mega Textile Park in Palnadu district (500 acres).
